Earlier today, you received a message about someone renting space on campus at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, at Alumni Memorial Building to hold an event entitled, “White Nationalism: Fact or Fiction.”

Rick Tyler, a Polk County man who ran for Tennessee’s 3rd Congressional District House of Representatives seat in 2016 and drew national attention for “Make America White Again” billboards, is renting space on campus for an event titled, “White Nationalism: Fact or Fiction.”

I want to provide information about an event that is scheduled for May 28 at 6 p.m. at Alumni Memorial Building entitled, “White Nationalism: Fact or Fiction.”

Where is the line between free speech and hate speech? This difficult question will be surveyed by a panel featuring four UT professors.
